So, Friday was this event called up all night at school! It started at 10pm and ended at 3am! My little sister Jenna, her two friends Taylor and Tejal, and my boyfriend Anthony all came for it! We went with my friend Kelli at 10! Kelli and I had to work the henna tattoo room for about an hour for our fashion uncensored club. Although we are not the best artists in the world, we had such a good time, and many laughs, doing it! After we were done with our shift, we went into the "Blue Moon Lounge" for a little bit and listened to this girl belch her heart out to some karaoke. Once 1am rolled around we went to the Lobster Fest!!!! They had Lobster ice cream... GROSS!!! The rest of the lobster stuff that the culinary students made was so good! Especially the lobster bisque! Once that was over with, we went to where the DJ was playing and Jenna, Taylor, and Tejal danced their little hearts out! They were so funny to watch! It was then about 2am and we decided to leave and come back to my apartment! It was such a fun night and I can't wait for the next one!
I am almost finished with week EIGHT of school! Which means only THREE more weeks of this quarter! Then a week break! I seriously love going to school here! It is probably one of the best experiences you will have! All of the teachers come from the professional field, so you make so many great contacts your FIRST quarter through them! I already got a little internship with a great stylist, Robert Ballew! I can't wait until that comes around! I had a final yesterday for my Fundamentals of Advertising class, and I think I did really well on it! Then last night for my Survey of Fashion class, we went to Scottsdale Fashion Square mall! We went to Crate and Barrel and listened to a few of the managers of the store tell us how they arrange the store and how they work with the fashion industry to get the trends and colors they have! It was so fun!
I will be in DISNEYLAND in TWO DAYS!! I cannot wait! It is going to be so much fun! We're leaving early Friday morning and coming back Monday night!! We're staying at a hotel just a few miles away from Disneyland, and are going into the park on Saturday and possible Sunday! We are going to the beach when we get there on Friday and will also go on our way back on Monday! This trip is going to be a blast!!

So sorry that it's been a while since I've posted! There has been so much going on! The past few days I have learned to trust no one but myself. I thought I found at least one roommate to live with me and it sounded like it was going to happen until Thursday when she told me she couldn't. (Thursday was not the best day.) So now I have to try and fine TWO roommates within a month! This is when I wish I knew people here, but I don't so I have to do it the hard way. So many things have been going through my head about decisions that I have to make. It keeps going back in forth, the should I, or should I not? I just wish God could be here for me right now to help me get through this decision!
On the other hand, I went to church on Sunday and really enjoyed the church I went to. There was a guest speaker named Dave Ramsey, and he really made me think A LOT about my future. So Disneyland ( if it happens) is in like a week and a half! I really hope I get to go! It would be a really nice break from everything!! But the whole money thing is starting to be an issue and effecting the trip. I wish there was more to do in Arizona, but unfortunately that's just the way it is.

Today has been so good! I woke up and watched the episodes of Pretty Little Liars, and Make It Or Break It that I missed last night because I was in class. They were amazing! Then it was time for the Fashion Uncensored club and my new best friend Taylor picked me up so I wouldn't have to walk! Love her for that! :) Then on the way back to my apartment we laughed so hard together because of a certain reason ha. My mom called me at about 1:15 and told me the the tow truck was coming to get the car to tow it home and that I could go with it so that I could come home and go to outback with the family and my "uncle" Don! So I'm home now and we're about to go to dinner! Thank you for blessing me with this wonderful day!!! Sorry this post was so short, and as always thanks for reading!

Today has been a rough day. It started with my midterm in my Advertising class that I think I did okay on. We were given a 45 page review/study guide packet that we were allowed to use on the test, so you had to make sure to do it, which I did. The test went fine until the last 10 questions that WEREN'T on the study guide so I was kind of freaking out. I made very educated guesses on them and I hope the answers I put were correct. Then after that class was over I was studying for my next midterm which was in Survey of Fashion (the class I absolutely love, love, love!). I studied in the library with my new best friend, Taylor Ryerson!! :) I was freaking out about this test because I spent all of my time doing the study guide for my advertising class, but Taylor saved me and let me study off of her study guide! I think that test went really well! But we'll find out in class next week!
Enough about tests, they're boring!! My luck has kind of been down the drain lately but I'm still trying to stay positive. The care gets towed home tomorrow (because someone tried to steel the catalytic converter, so my dad has to fix the poor thing!), but I'm hoping tomorrow will be a better, more relaxing day then today! No class tomorrow which means laying by the pool! :) Well that's enough for tonight, it's time for me to go to sleep! Thanks for reading!

So i started off my day studying for the two midterms that I have tomorrow, and I'd like to say I got a lot done. Then decided to take a break at one and go down to the pool! Some of the girls that I met here at school were there too so it made it fun, but also made the "short time laying by the pool" turn into almost TWO HOURS!! Nothing like taking breaks from studying! The only thing is.. that time at the pool cost me. My biggest problem is I get distracted way to easily! So here's my first life lesson to the posts.
How to study:
1. Make sure you are somewhere with no distractions (such as internet, FACEBOOK, T.V.. ETC).
2. Try turning your phone off or putting it on silent so that if someone texts you, you don't feel it and jump to look at it.
3. Focus only on what you are trying to study and try not to let your mind wander.
4. If you study better in groups try to find someone in your class to study with!
5. Try not to take a lot of breaks!

I've decided to create a blog for myself. Better to create one later then never right?? :) Let's consider these journal entries to the story of my "new" life. I have been in the mood of trying new things lately and this is one of them. I think i'm really going to like this! No, this isn't going to be just about my life, but maybe also about; beauty, fashion, love, and life lessons. I want this to be a fun place for everyone to read! :) I will try to write in it once a day, but there are no promises or guarantees. Now, lets get started! My name is Amanda and i'm nineteen years young! I have the most amazing people in my life including; my friends, family and boyfriend! Within the past year i have gone through so many changes to my life, but only for the better. I was born in San Mateo, California and moved to Illinois when I was five because of my dad's job. My family and I moved here to Arizona about five and a half years ago. I went to ASU last year but now currently go to The Art Institute. I have majorly discovered my "passion for fashion" and absolutely love love love the people i've met here and the things i have so far experienced. This school was the perfect decision and I hope to eventually be at the one in Orange County! I know this post may have been boring to some of you but it was just a start and taking time to get use to this! I will post again hopefully tomorrow! Thanks for reading :)
